Choosing the right ceremony site for your wedding is very important. You only get married once, and you want to get it right the first time. Once you have found the perfect ceremony site, you need to reserve it. Reserving it right away will ensure that no other couple will have their wedding ceremony at the same place on your special day. Follow these steps to reserve a ceremony site for your wedding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find the perfect location. Look at different churches, parks, public sites and even homes. Think of ceremonies that you have attended in the past, and think about how you liked the sites. Find one that is descriptive of your and your fiancé. If you are not religious, maybe a church is not the best option for you.

  2. Step 2

Talk with the minister at the church, or the reservations manager at any other ceremony sites. You want to find out specifics of the site, i.e. times, places, dates and any special requirements. Discuss your ideas and concerns with them to make sure that this ceremony site is compatible with your ideas for your wedding.

  3. Step 3

Reserve the date with the person in charge at the ceremony site. Place any deposit that is needed. Get a confirmation, and any documents that you will have to fill out.

  4. Step 4

Complete any requirements that are required for the site and the ceremony. Make sure that you complete any requirements that are required by your state, also.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don’t rush to decide on a site until you decide the type of ceremony you want to have.
  • Have alternate sites in mind, in case your first choice is not a possibility.
  • Do not order invitations until you have reserved your ceremony site. You need to make sure that the date and time are available at the church.
