Crystal healing is used to rid the body of unwanted health conditions like chronic pain, muscle soreness, insomnia, fatigue and anxiety. The chakra system of crystal healing is often the best method for restoring an allover balance to the body. By placing specific, powerful gemstones along the body for several minutes, crystal healing works on the theory that the stones emit a naturally cleansing force within the body. Follow these steps to learn how to heal yourself with crystals.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Knowledge of the chakra system
  • Comfortable place to lie down
  • Crystals

    Prepare for Crystal Healing

  1. Step 1

Decide which areas of your body need work. Locate the corresponding types of crystals that benefit your ailments most.

  2. Step 2

Learn about each crystal's properties in books such as "The Crystal Bible: A Definitive Guide to Crystals" by Judy Hall (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

Purchase the crystals. They're available in jewelry trade shows, free-standing bead stores and through dealers.

  4. Step 4

Cleanse and dedicate the crystals. This removes any negative energy and prepares the crystal for use.

  5. Step 5

Research the "chakra" system of crystal healing. There are seven "chakras," or energy centers, along the body. These powerful centers often become imbalanced causing mental and physical health defects that crystals can heal through proper placement along the body.

  6. Heal Yourself With Crystals

  7. Step 1

Begin by lying down. After placing the crystals, you'll stay lying down for several minutes with your eyes closed.

  8. Step 2

Place stones along the vertical median of the body. Stones are placed this away according to the "chakra" system or energy centers that guide the body.

  9. Step 3

Set the stones. The first two are clear quartz and will be placed off of the body, with one directly above the head and the other below the feet.

  10. Step 4

Stay at the feet and begin placing crystals vertically upon the body. Each "chakra" will receive an appropriately colored stone used for healing the types of energy manifested at that point of the body.

  11. Step 5

Press gently into each crystal, one at a time. Visualize the crystal's color merging with the "chakra" it sits upon and feel the balancing effect this creates.

  12. Step 6

Move to the next crystal when you feel it is the right time. In between "chakras," be sure to flick your fingers to release negative energy gathered from the previous "chakra."

  13. Step 7

Try an easier method. To start with, lie back and allow the crystals to work on their own without the use of your hands. Use your intuition to determine when the process is complete.

  14. Step 8

Learn more about the "chakra" system by visiting the Kacha Stones Web site (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings
  • You can visit a crystal healer if the techniques are too challenging.
  • Crystal healing is most affordable when practiced at home on your own. Then you're only paying for the cost of the materials which will vary depending on the type of stone you purchase.
  • You cannot heal severe or sudden symptoms with crystal healing. If you're having any difficulty breathing or experiencing either intense vertigo or chest compression, get medical help immediately.
  • Whether visiting a healer or doing the procedure yourself, know that the process can be emotionally intense. Give yourself a few minutes of recovery before sitting up.
  • Crystal healing is not a proven science and results do vary.
  • Before you start any alternative medical technique, be aware that many have not been scientifically evaluated. Often, only limited information is available about their safety and effectiveness. Each state and each discipline has its own rules about how alternative medicine practitioners can be professionally licensed. If you decide to visit one, choose one licensed by a recognized national organization. Consult your primary health care provider about your decision first. Keep your doctor informed about the alternative medical technique you undertake.
