Things You'll Need:
- A computer with Internet access to research aromatherapists
-
Step 1
Log on to the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy Web site (see Resources below). You will be taken to a page that allows you to search the organization's member roster.
-
Step 2
Click on "State," "Country" or "Area," depending on how you'd like to conduct your search. You'll be taken to a page that allows you to select a state, country or area of specialty in your search for an aromatherapy professional.
-
Step 3
Highlight a state, country and/or area of specialty and click the "Search" link near the bottom of the page. You will be directed to a page showing aromatherapy professionals that meet your prescribed requirements.
-
Step 4
Write down the telephone numbers and email addresses of these professionals and contact them either by phone or online to obtain price information.
-
Step 5
Explore all of your options. The International Federation of Aromatherapists is another good resource in your search for qualified aromatherapy professionals. Visit the organization's Web site (see Resources below). Use the site to find aromatherapists in your area and contact these professionals for pricing.
-
Step 6
Get a referral. Referrals are perhaps the best way to find a talented aromatherapist. Ask friends for their recommendations. Get a contact number or email address, and inquire about price guidelines.
-
Step 7
Get the details regarding aromatherapy by purchasing "The Aromatherapy Bible: The Definitive Guide to Using Essential Oils" by Gill Farrer-Halls (see Resources below).
