Choose a Meditation Style
Step1
Learn about the many different schools of meditation, and the philosophies they are rooted in. Visit the Meditation Society of Australia Web site (see Resources below) for an excellent, factual overview of the many different types of meditation.

Choose a school of meditation that adheres as closely as possible to your own spiritual beliefs.
Step3
Contact a center in your area that teaches the meditation style you're interested in. Learn more about the philosophical underpinnings of the style from a qualified practitioner at the center.
Step4
Receive qualified instruction in your chosen meditation style. Only once you master your chosen style will you be able to use meditation to shape your destiny.
Become Enlightened Using Meditation
Step1
Ensure that your technique is correct before beginning to practice meditation on your own. Your instructor will inform you if you need to make improvements.
Step2
Meditate daily. If you have time, meditate more than once daily. As with most anything, meditation is mastered through practice.
Step3
Keep at it. You will begin to feel a greater sense of calm, well-being and purpose in life.
Step4
Apply the philosophical teachings of your school of meditation to your daily life. This is a key way you can shape your destiny through meditation. Make meditation a lifestyle, not just a means of escapism.
Step5
Pass your wisdom on to others. Help other people shape their own destiny through meditation. This will only serve to heighten your newfound enlightenment.
