Things You'll Need:
- Atlas of pain trigger points, or similar acupunture charts
- Illustrated books or manuals that will show where magnets should be placed for treatment of specific conditions
- Magnets of varying strengths and sizes

Step 1
Locate the correct pain trigger point on the chart that relates to the injury on your body. Since the correct location may not be obvious, refer to charts or illustrations (see Resources below). Experts say the best results come when the true location is treated.

Step 2
Place the selected magnet directly on the pain trigger point.

Step 3
Use several other magnets to encircle the injured area around the pain trigger point. Place them about 1 inch apart.

Step 4
Leave magnets in place for 5 days and then remove for 5 days. Repeat this routine until pain has been reduced or alleviated.

Take medication to relieve arthritis pain if recommended by your doctor.
