Things You'll Need:
- Parsley
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Tongue scraper
- Cardamom
- Fenugreek seeds
- Guava
- Juicer
-
Step 1
Get familiar with fenugreek. Add 1 tsp. of fenugreek seeds to a small pot of water and allow it to simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and consume.
-
Step 2
Nibble on cardamom. These seeds are said to be effective at freshening the breath.
-
Step 3
Scrape your tongue. Clean your tongue daily using a tongue scraper. Bad breath can be caused by bacteria that gathers on the tongue, and getting rid of it can alleviate the problem.
-
Step 4
Gnaw on guava. Unripe guava contains malic, oxalic, tannic and phosphoric acids, in addition to calcium, oxalate and manganese. These elements make it useful in improving bad breath and the overall health of your mouth.
-
Step 5
Sip some juice. Raw, unpasteurized vegetable juice can be useful in treating halitosis. Many juices available in stores are pasteurized to promote a long shelf life. Buy a vegetable juicer and make your own juice at home.
-
Step 6
Pick parsley. Boil 2 cups of water. Then add several chopped sprigs of parsely, along with 3 whole cloves. Allow the mixture to steep, then strain it and use it as a mouthwash or gargle.
