Creating an account on Pandora.com gives you access to thousands of songs on stations you create. Once you register, you'll be able to visit all areas of the Web site, including music sharing pages, message boards and blogs. Pandora offers free registration and paid subscriptions.

  • Computer with a 1Ghz processor and a minimum of 256M of RAM with sound card and speakers or headphones
  • Valid email address

How to Register at Pandora.com

Step1
Go to the Pandora.com Web site (see Resources below). First-time visitors can type an artist or song title into the search box and create a sample station. Once you've added several songs to a new station, a registration prompt will appear.
Step2
Go straight to the registration screen and skip the trial session by clicking either 'Log-in' or 'Account' and selecting 'Create Account.'
Step3
Fill in the required information: valid email address, password you create, birth year, US zipcode and gender. Your email address will be your username.
Step4
Read the 'Terms of Use' and 'Privacy Policy.' Check boxes where indicated.

Click 'Continue.'
Step6
Choose between free registration and a paid subscription. The only difference is that paid subscriptions eliminate advertisements. To choose free registration, click 'No Thanks,' then 'Continue.' To purchase a subscription, click 'Subscribe' and choose a plan and click 'Continue.' Enter your credit card information. All credit card transactions are encrypted with 128-bit SSL.

Manage Your Account on Pandora.com

Step1
Click the 'Account' button on the Pandora Tuner.
Step2
Select 'Edit Your Account' to change any information you typed in when you set up your account. You can also choose whether or not to allow explicit content by clicking the appropriate box.
Step3
Select 'Subscribe' to switch from free registration to a paid subscription.
Step4
Select 'View Your Profile' to review your stations, bookmarked songs and comments left by other listeners. You can also write something about yourself, add links to songs, artists and listeners, or tell a friend about Pandora.com by sending them a link.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're a first-time user, you can build a sample station before registering. Any songs added during your trial period will be saved to your account after you register.
  • Choose a paid subscription to bypass ads on Pandora.com. All credit card transactions are encrypted with 128-bit SSL.
  • Check your Internet connection speed, install the latest Flash driver for PC and Mac and find answers to questions about registration on Pandora.com's FAQ page (see Resources below).
  • To end your session on Pandora.com, click 'Account' on the grey Pandora Tuner and select 'Log Out.'
  • Be aware that once you sample the Web site on one computer, Pandora.com cannot be sampled again from the same computer.
  • Review Pandora's 'Terms of Use' and be aware of Pandora's policies regarding copyrights, age and residency requirements, as well as privacy and security before registering. Click 'Privacy and Terms' on Pandora's homepage.
  • Be sure you have a broadband connection of at least 150kbps. Pandora.com streams music at 128kbps and cannot operate with dial-up.
