• Valid credit card or PayPal account, personal or certified check
• Computer with Internet connection
• Xanga account

Upgrade Your Xanga Account

1. Visit the Xanga Premium Web site to upgrade your account (see Resources below).

2. Choose between Premium and Premium Plus. Click on the Premium Plus link to choose this subscription service.

3. Select a plan period from 1 month to 12 months. The price varies between subscription periods and you may also choose to be billed automatically every month.

4. Click on the radio button corresponding to the payment method you would like to use. You may pay via credit card, PayPal or personal check.

5. Hit the 'Continue' button to proceed with the upgrade process. You will then be asked to sign in using your Xanga account information.

6. Enter the code you will see below in the corresponding field and click the 'Continue' button.

7. Enter the payment information required for the payment method you have selected. Check the 'Premium Service Agreement' box after you have reviewed the subscription agreement.

8. Hit the 'Continue' button only once after filling in the payment information.

9. Find that the leaderboard ad formerly on your Xanga homepage has been removed. One of the benefits of a Xanga Premium or Premium Plus subscription is the removal of all ads from your public pages.

10. Create your own 'Xanga Skin' for a more customized look to your homepage.

Tips & Warnings

• Give a Xanga Premium upgrade as a gift to a fellow Xanga friend. You can select the 'Give Premium to a Friend' option when you check out.
• Children over 13 are allowed to create a Xanga account, however subscription to a Xanga Premium account may require submitting a valid form of government identification as part of the payment verification process. • Be careful not to hit the 'Continue' button more than once when you are submitting payment information to avoid being charged twice.

on 5/20/2009 You now have the option of purchasing Premium with credits. Also, the skins have been retired and Xanga uses "Themes" now, which basic members also have access to. They've been rolling out many new features lately.
