Trails.com offers first-time users a free 14-day trial membership to its extensive database of North American trail networks. If you wish to cancel your Trails.com account after the free trial period, the credit card you used to sign up for your account will not be billed.

Cancel Your Trails.com Membership

Step1
Head to the Trails.com homepage (see Resources below) and sign in using your email address and password.
Step2
Find the 'My Account' link and click on it. You will be taken to an Account Options page displaying your name as you entered it when you signed up.
Step3
Scroll down until you locate the Account Options heading.
Step4
Click on the 'End My Free Trial' link. This will redirect you to a page that allows you to cancel your Trails.com account.
Step5
Answer the question you'll see on the ensuing page, which asks: 'Are you sure you'd like to end your free trial?' Click the link for 'Yes, Continue On To Next Step...' to cancel your account. You can click on the 'No' option if you've changed your mind.
Step6
Consider signing up for the Trails.com Lite Account. It allows users a host of useful features for a manageable annual fee. Click the 'Yes, Please Change My Subscription' button if you want to do this.
Step7
Enter any feedback you wish to offer Trails.com in the field provided. User comments help the Trails.com staff improve the Web site for future visitors.
Step8
Click 'No, Please End My Free Trial' when you're done. You will be redirected to a page that confirms your Trails.com account has been cancelled.
Step9
Return to Trails.com at any time to browse the site as a visitor.
