Use your Web browser to open Technorati's homepage (see Resources below).

Log in to your Technorati account, if you have one. If not, create one by clicking the 'Join' link and following the self-explanatory instructions.

Decide which of the six options you want to browse for the most popular content.

Click the '100 Top Favorited Blogs' link to view the list of the 100 most popular blogs that appear in the 'Favorites' list of registered Technorati users.

Click the '100 Top Blogs' link for a list of the 100 most popular blogs, in terms of tracked Web traffic.

Step 6
Find 'More Top Videos,' 'More Top News' and 'More Top Movies' by following the respective links leading to them. Click on any link you choose to browse popular Web content.

Click on the "Popular" link. You will be redirected to a page listing the "Top Favorited Blogs," "Top Searches," "Top Blogs," "Popular Videos," "Top News" and "Top Movies."

Enter a search term into the main "Search For" field.

Use the drop-down menu to select "In Blog Directory." Click the "Search" button. You will come to a screen displaying your results.

Step 3
Select "Authority" from the drop-down menu which allows you to sort your results. Technorati uses the term "authority" as a virtual synonym for "popularity." The screen will refresh, with blogs holding the most authority appearing at the top of the list.

Browse your results. You will find direct links leading to Technorati's most popular blogs, in which you will then be able to participate.

Find help by clicking on the 'Help' link on Technorati's homepage (see Resources below). You'll be able to find answers to most any basic question you might have from there.
