Claim Your Blog on Technorati

1. Go to the Technorati homepage to begin (see Resources below). Log in to your Technorati account if you already have a username and password by entering them in the indicated fields. These fields can also be accessed by clicking the 'Sign In' link on the homepage.

2. Create a Technorati account if you don't already have one. Click the 'Join' link to get started. Fill in the required fields in the short membership questionnaire, then select your account options and click the 'Join' button. You will be returned to Technorati's homepage, logged in with your new username and password.

3. Find the 'Technorati Tools' section on the homepage. You can also access the Technorati Tools page by clicking the link on the homepage.

4. Click the 'Claim Your Blog' link. You will be redirected to the 'Blogs' tab of your 'My Account' page when you complete this step.

5. Enter the URL of your blog in the 'Blog URL' field. You can also copy and paste it from your blog's site if that's easier.

6. Click 'Begin Claim.' Technorati will then attempt to claim your blog. You will be notified in a new screen if Technorati was successful in claiming your personal blog.

7. Get help from Technorati's 'Help' page if Technorati was not able to claim your personal blog for any reason (see Resources below). Don't worry if this happened to you when you tried to claim your blog. Heavy traffic on the Technorati site can sometimes slow down the process of claiming your blog.
