Step 1
Begin by opening your Web browser and heading to Technorati's homepage (see Resources below).

Enter your username and password to log in, if you've signed up for a Technorati account.

Locate the main "Search For" field.

Enter your search term.

Select "In Blog Posts" from the adjacent drop-down menu.

Click 'Search.' You will be taken to a page which will have a list of your search results.

Find the number of results your search returned. It will be accompanied with several drop-down menus allowing you to adjust the display of your results.

Locate the drop-down menu displaying "Any Authority" as its default. Click on the downward-pointing arrow to show the menu.

Choose to display results with "Any Authority," "A Little Authority," "Some Authority" or "A Lot of Authority," as you prefer.

Start by opening the Technorati homepage (see Resources below).

Activate the drop-down menu beside the main "Search For" field. Select the "In Blog Directory" option. Your search will now be limited to blogs themselves, and will not return results found in blog postings.

Enter the subject you're looking to search in the "Search For" field.

Click the "Search" button. You will find yourself at a screen that lists your search results.

Use the drop-down menu accompanying the number of results your search returned to sort by 'Authority.' The screen will refresh, and the blogs you searched for will now be displayed by authority, with blogs that have high authority placed at the top.
