Step 1
Begin your search for blogs by opening the Technorati homepage (see Resources below).

Enter a name, word or topic into the main 'Search For' field to begin a basic search. Perform your search 'In Blog Directory' if you're simply looking for a list of links to blogs on your topic.

Use the drop-down menu to indicate whether you want to search for the subject you entered 'In Blog Posts,' 'In Tags,' or 'In Blog Directory.'

Click on the "Search" button.

Browse the results returned by your search to find a blog in which you're interested.

Link to more detailed information about the blog by clicking on the main title that appears at the top of each result.

Go directly to the blog by clicking on the URL which appears beside the small heart icon beneath the blog's general description.

Click the 'Technorati Tools' link (see Resources below) for access to Technorati features that will make your search easier.

Start by visiting the Technorati homepage (see Resources below).

Locate the "Advanced Search" link and click on it.

Enter the subject of your search in the "Keyword Search" field corresponding to the desired specificity of your search. Search options include "All Of The Words," "The Exact Phrase," "At Least One Of The Words" and "None Of The Words."

Click the corresponding button to specify whether you want the search performed in "All Blogs," "Blogs About" your topic (selecting this option will unlock the accompanying field, in which you will then enter keywords or phrases relating to your topic) or "This Blog URL" (which will permit you to enter a Web site's address to search for blogs).

Click the "Search" button when you've entered your criteria. You will be redirected to a page listing the results of your search.

Perform a search for blog entries that link to a specific Web site by entering the site's URL in the "Find Posts That Link To" field in the "URL Search" section. Click the "Search" button to gather your results.

Hunt for posts, links and photos about your subject by entering a search item in the "Find Posts Tagged" field in the "Tag Search" section. Your results will be returned when you click the "Search" button.

Find blogs related to specific categories by entering a topic in the "Find Blogs About" field in the "Blog Directory Search" section. Again, clicking the "Search" button will return your results.
