How to Upgrade To A Photobucket Pro Account

Benefits abound for Photobucket members with a Pro Account status, including larger image libraries and allowed file sizes. Signing up for a Pro Account is easy and fast.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Major credit card, debit card, check or money order

    Upgrade to a Pro Account

  1. Step 1

Go to the Photobucket homepage (see Resources below). From here, log in to your account in the designated "Member Login" section. You will need your account's username and password to log in to Photobucket.

  2. Step 2

Look for the navigation bar. Click the button called "Account Options." This displays several different sections regarding your customer information.

  3. Step 3

Find the section called "Personal Information." In this section, you will see a button for "Upgrade Account." Click it.

  4. Step 4

Read the information about signing up for a Pro Account. Prices are generally very reasonable and a one-time fee usually secures an entire year of membership at the most attractive subscription rates.

  5. Step 5

Click "Buy Now" to upgrade your membership. You are prompted to select amongst three radio buttons featuring different lengths of membership. Click the "Next" button last.

  6. Step 6

Pay for the membership by selecting the radio button with your desired pay method. Select "Upgrade Now" after you fill in the proper radio button and finally, be sure to fill in the checkbox for the "Service, Privacy, and Refunds Agreement."

  7. Step 7

Fill out your payment information in the dialog box and then click the button "Submit Securely." Once it processes, congratulations! You are now a Pro Account member.

  8. Take Advantage of Your Membership

  9. Step 1

Upload more images. Members who upgrade to a Pro Account enjoy a 50,000 limit image capacity as opposed to regular account holders who are set to a 10,000 image limit.

  10. Step 2

Worry less. Members with Pro Account status rarely need to consider image size since they get a generous 2MB per image size limit.

  11. Step 3

Create the best slide shows. Why not? You are allowed up to 50 images per one slide show in contrast to only 10 images for regular members.

  12. Step 4

Sit in the director's chair. You can now share videos up to 10 minutes in length.

  13. Step 5

Get a little return on your investment. Image printing is reduced by 10 percent every time you do it as a Pro Account membership holder.

Tips & Warnings
  • Photobucket also accepts checks and U.S. Money Orders as payment for the Pro Account membership.
  • Photobucket runs a tight security system to protect you from fraud. Be prepared to enter coded phrases as you proceed through the site, and select a password that would be difficult for others to guess.
  • Click "Help" on the navigation bar if you get stuck.
  • Read carefully when navigating the pages where you select your length of membership. The longest and most expensive membership is pre-selected for you.
  • Watch out for the "Rebill Me Automatically (Subscribe)" checkbox that appears as you select your payment type. Make sure you de-select it if you are simply trying out the membership on a short-term basis.
