How to Share Photos On Photobucket

Part of the fun of being a Photobucket member is sharing your images with family and friends. Photobucket offers lots of choices for sharing images, each of which comes with easy-to-follow steps. Images typically reach their destinations in a matter of seconds.

Things You'll Need:

• Previously uploaded images in your account
• Computer with Internet access
• Username and password for login

Get Started

1. Log in to your Photobucket account from the Web site's home page (see Resources below). Find the text fields for "Username" and "Password" under the "Member Login" section of the screen.

2. Select the "Remember Me!" check box. This allows Photobucket to recognize your computer and automatically logs you in once you hit the homepage.

3. Wait for the main page of your account to load. This usually takes only a few seconds. From here, you are ready to start the process of sharing your photos.

4. Find all of your available photos listed as thumbnails or reduced image sizes, which makes it easier to view everything at once.

5. Click the thumbnail photo you would like to share. After the next page loads fully, a navigation bar appears. Click the "Share" button.

6. Select the method of sharing you prefer. The navigation bar clearly lists all of the choices. Click on your choice and wait for the page to update.

7. Consider using the Contact Management System. Access it by clicking the link for "Manage My Contacts" before sending your image. You can either add contacts or import them from another directory within your personal email account.

8. Fill out the corresponding text fields for the method you select. Lastly, hit the "Send" button once you are finished.

9. Wait for confirmation. Once the image is successfully sent, a new page appears stating this.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep your cookies enabled or the "Remember Me!" button will not activate.
• One of the best features of Photobucket is its diverse options for sharing photos on the site. MySpace, emailing, Friendster and Facebook are just some of the popular choices.
• Images can also be sent to cell phones on the Photobucket Web site.
• Check out the Photobucket forums if you have trouble sharing your photos (see Resources below).
• If you are emailing images, be sure to separate the addresses with a comma or the entire process will need to be repeated.
• Photobucket is not responsible for image privacy once your photo or video travels to another destination beyond the Web site. Don't share any images that would compromise your security.
