How to Mark A Photo As One Of Your Favorites On Flickr

Flickr photos are easy to mark as favorites, and they can add to your collection of web photos for browsing. You can share your favorites with friends and family so they can see what you are interested in right now. Mark funny, interesting or notable photos with one easy click on Flickr.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Digital camera

    Sign Into Your Flickr Account with Your Yahoo! ID

  1. Step 1

    Enter the Flickr home page and click the "Sign In" link (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

    Enter your Yahoo ID! and password into the indicated fields.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Sign In" button.

  4. Create a Yahoo ID! to Register for Flickr

  5. Step 1

    Navigate to the Flickr home page and click on the "Sign Up" button.

  6. Step 2

    Click on the "Sign Up" link.

  7. Step 3

    Enter your details on the Yahoo! registration page.

  8. Step 4

    Read the Terms of Conditions and click on the "I Agree" button to join Yahoo!

  9. Browse for Photos

  10. Step 1

    Locate the "Search Everyone's Photos" field and type the keywords of your search.

  11. Step 2

    Click the "Search" button.

  12. Step 3

    Click on the thumbnail of the selected photo to view it.

  13. Mark Photos as Your Favorite

  14. Step 1

    Double click the thumbnail image you are interested in.

  15. Step 2

    Click on the "My Faves" button to add the photo to your Favorites list.

  16. View Other People's Favorites

  17. Step 1

    Select a member by clicking the member's name as a link.

  18. Step 2

    Click on the "Favorites" link.

  19. Step 3

    Browse through their list of Favorites and double click each image for a close up.

  20. Join a Group to Find More of Your Favorite Photos

  21. Step 1

    Click on the "Groups" link and select the link "Search for a Group."

  22. Step 2

    Select from the radio buttons whether you want to search group names or discussions.

  23. Step 3

    Type your keywords into the search field and click "Search."

  24. Step 4

    Browse through your results to find the groups with members that suit your interest. Double click the group's title link to enter and browse photos. Click on the one you like!

  25. Remove Your Favorite Photos

  26. Step 1

    Click on the "You" tab on a Flickr page and select "Your Favorites" from the drop-down box.

  27. Step 2

    Click on the thumbnail of the photo you would like to remove.

  28. Step 3

    Click the "My Faves" button to remove the "My Favorites" marker from that one photo.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be creative when creating your password. Use a combination of numbers and letters in a combination that's easy for just you to remember.
  • Keep in mind that you won't need to sign in using your ID and password a second time for a "Photo Package" request. This can be a harmful file intended to damage your computer.
