How to Share Your Photos With Non-Flickr Members

Sharing photos with non Flickr members is easy for people who need to share them with friends and family who live far away or just aren't around much. Even if someone doesn't have a Flickr account, they can still access your photos online. Save yourself a stamp and email someone the link to your Flickr account to access your photos.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Computer with Internet access
• Digital camera

Sign Into Your Flickr Account with Your Yahoo! ID

1. Enter the Flickr home page and click on the "Sign In" link (see Resources below).

2. Type in your Yahoo! ID and password into the specified field.

3. Click the "Sign In" button to access your account.

Create a Yahoo! ID for Your Flickr Account

4. Navigate to the Flickr home page and click on the "Sign Up!" button.

5. Click on the "Sign Up" link to create a Yahoo! ID.

6. Fill in the registration information for Yahoo! and review the Terms of Service.

7. Check the box that you have read the Terms of Service.

8. Click the "I Agree" button to finish your Yahoo! registration.

Upload Your Photos

9. Upload your photos by clicking the "Upload Your First Photo" link.

10. Click on "Browse" on the next page and then choose which photo you would like to upload.

11. Continue this process for up to 6 photographs from your collection.

12. Choose the privacy settings for your photographs. You can select "Private" to keep your photos private to your friends or family, or choose "Public" to let anyone see your photos.

Create Sets

13. Click on the "Organize" link on any Flickr page.

14. Select the tab from the drop-down box that is marked "Your Sets."

15. Click on "Create a New Set" and drag and drop the photos you need to create that new set.

16. Type in a name for the set and click "Save."

Set Up a Flickr Blog to Share Photos with Non Members

17. Click on the "You" link on any Flickr page and select the "Your Account" tab from the drop-down box.

18. Click on the "Configure Flickr-To-Blog Settings" link.

19. Click on the "Set Up Your Blog" link to begin setting up your blog link.

20. Choose your blog type from the drop-down box.

21. Choose your blog from the drop-down box and click the "Next" button.

22. Verify your blog's name and URL and then click "All Done."

23. Return to your photos by clicking "You" and then selecting "Your Photos" from the drop-down box.

24. Double click on the photo you would like to share.

25. Click the "Blog This!" button and select your blog from the drop-down box.

Tips & Warnings

• Check the URL you enter when you visit Flickr for the first time. If you follow a link, verify that Flickr.com is located in the address bar, because otherwise that could indicate a dangerous cloned site.
