How to Make A Slideshow On Flickr

Slideshows on Flickr add a little more life to your pictures. They can be easier for people to view and are completely customizable for their viewing pleasure. Flickr makes making slideshows very user friendly and simple to do.

Things You'll Need

• Computer with Internet access
• Digital camera

Sign Into Your Flickr Account With Your Yahoo! ID

1. Enter the Flickr homepage and click the "Sign In" link (see Resources below).

2. Type your Yahoo! ID and password into the specified fields.

3. Click on the "Sign In" button to enter your Flickr account.

Get Your Yahoo! ID to Create Your Flickr Account

1. Enter the Flickr home page and click on the "Sign Up!" button (see Resources below).

2. Click on the "Sign Up" link.

3. Type in your details as required by Yahoo! and read their Terms and Conditions.

4. Check the box indicating that you have read the Terms and Conditions.

5. Click on the "I Agree" button to create your Yahoo! account.

Upload Your Photos to Flickr

1. Begin uploading your photos by first clicking "Upload Your First Photo."

2. Click the "Browse" button on the next page and select the photo you would like to upload.

3. Select the privacy settings you would like for the selected photographs. Choosing "Private" can make the photo either accessible only to yourself or to your family and friends.

4. Enter a title for your photo in the "Title" field.

5. Enter a description for your photo in the "Description" field.

6. Click "Save."

Get Your Photos Organized for Your Flickr Slideshow

1. Begin to organize your photos by clicking the "Organize" tab on any Flickr page. Choose "Your Sets" from the drop-down box.

2. Click on "Create a New Set" and drag the photos into the field.

3. Type the name for your set.

4. Click "Save."

Make a Slideshow on Flickr

1. Select the set that you need to make into a slideshow. You can find this in your main profile.

2. Choose a photo from the set by double clicking the photograph. It will enlarge.

3. Click "View As Slideshow." All of your photos will be converted into a slideshow.

4. Play your slideshow. You can drag your cursor over the slideshow as it plays. You will be able to alter the speed of your slideshow, pause it and stop.

Tips & Warnings

• Select a password that will be difficult for others to guess. Use a combination of letters and numbers that are memorable for you.

• If you begin to make a slideshow from your main profile, all of your photographs will be used.
