Commenting on Flickr photos is a simple way to share your opinion about photos and reach out to your family and friends, no matter where they are. You can leave comments, observations or just little funny anecdotes. You can also add links to your own photos that you think other Flickr users might like.

Things You'll Need:

• Computer with Internet access
• Digital camera

Sign Into Your Flickr Account

1. Enter Flickr's home page and click the "Sign Up" button to create your account (see Resources below).

2. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button to enter your Flickr account. To get a Yahoo account, click the "Sign Up" link.

3. Click on the "Sign In Here" link to enter your Flickr account if you're an existing member. Type your email address and password in the fields and click the "Get In There" button to enter your account.

4. Search for photos quickly by typing keywords in the field marked "Search Everyone's Photos."

5. Click the "Search" button to send your search and find photos to browse through.

6. Choose from the links provided to organize your search results. Click on links marked "Most Relevant Results," "Most Recent" or "Most Interesting."

7. Click on the thumbnail of the photo to view it.

Explore Photos Further

8. Click the "Explore" button to browse a collection of photos according to specific tags.

9. Click on a listed tag link to access photo sets from various Flickr users.

10. Click the "Back" button to return to the "Explore" page, and continue to browse photos by clicking on specific sets or groups of interest.

11. Comment on a photo you've seen by typing your remark in the field below the "Add Your Comment" title.

12. Preview your selection by clicking the "Preview" button. Edit your comment by typing in the field titled "Change It?" to change your message.

13. Click on the "Post Comment" button to post your comment.

Tips & Warnings

• Be careful when creating your Flickr account. Choose a password that combines letters and numbers that you can remember easily, but will be difficult for other people to guess.
• You can add simple html code to your comments on Flickr, such as bold and italics.
