1. Go to the eBay home page (see the Resources section below).

2. Click on 'Register.'

3. Enter your name and contact information into the provided fields.

4. Provide eBay with a user name and password. You can be creative here; just be sure you pick something you will remember easily.

5. Pick a security question and provide an answer. This will be useful if you ever forget your password.

6. Give eBay your date of birth. You have to be 18 to use the site, so eBay needs to have this information to make sure you are of legal age.

7. Check the box indicating you agree to eBay's terms and conditions of use. You may want to click on the provided link and read these conditions beforehand.

8. Get out your credit card. eBay needs this information to confirm your identity. The card will not be charged, so do not worry.

9. Check your email. At this point, eBay will send an email to the address you provided. You must open the email and click 'Activate E-bay Membership.'

10. Smile! You are now a member of eBay!
