How to Create a Selling Listing on eBay
Are you ready to create your eBay empire? Lots of people run successful eBay stores from their homes. The first step to starting up your eBay business is to create your first selling listing.
Instructions
-
-
1
Sign in to your eBay account (see the Resources section below).
-
2
Click 'Sell.'
-
-
3
Choose the selling format you want. You can opt to sell your item in an auction or at a fixed price. If you have an eBay store, you can elect to sell your item directly from there.
-
4
Pick a category. You must select a category for your item, so eBay will know where to list it on the site. You can also choose a sub-category, but this is optional.
-
5
Create a title and description for your item. Really let your creative juices flow here. You want potential buyers to know exactly why they must have this item.
-
6
Upload pictures of your item. While this is not required to create a selling listing, it dramatically increases your chances of selling the item. People want to see what they are buying.
-
7
Decide on a price. If you are having an auction, you will want to select a minimum opening bid. You can also choose a reserve price if you like--meaning you will not sell the item if the bids do not reach a predetermined amount. You may also opt to sell your item for a fixed price and forego the whole auction experience.
-
8
Select the number of days you wish your selling listing to be active.
-
9
Provide your geographical location so buyers will know where the item currently resides.
-
10
Provide your shipping details. Let buyers know where and how you ship and what you charge to do so.
-
11
Click 'Submit' and you've just created a selling listing on eBay!
