How to Manage Topics on Digg.com

At any given time, there are thousands of stories, videos and podcasts available for viewing on Digg.com. The sheer volume of material to sift through can sometimes be overwhelming. If you want to avoid aimless meandering, customize Digg.com so that each time you log on, you are only presented with material in categories you've specified.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Current Digg.com account

Step1
Visit Digg.com and log in to your account (see the Resources section below).
Step2
Click on the 'Profile' link, then click on the 'Profile' tab.
Step3
Click on 'Manage Topics.'
Step4
View Digg.com's list of topics and sub-topics for news stories and videos. Click on the boxes beside the topics you are not interested in to un-check them. The boxes with checks left in them will be the topics you want to keep.
Step5
Click 'Save Changes.' Your preferred topics are now saved to your profile.
Step6
Visit the main page of Digg.com. You will now see that only content that falls into the topics you selected to keep appear on that page.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can change your preferred topics at any time. There is no limit to the number of times you can add and remove topics from your preferred list.
