How to Set Up Your Profile on Digg.com

Your profile is an important part of the Digg.com experience. It allows other Digg.com users to get to know you a little better, and also tells them how they can get in touch with you outside of the site. Here's how to set yours up.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Internet connection
  • Computer
  • Current registration at Digg.com

Step1
Visit Digg.com and sign in (see the Resources section below).

Click on the 'Profile' link.
Step3
View your choices. The profile setup area of Digg.com allows you to customize your profile in a variety of ways. You can provide your real name, your location, your personal Web site address and your instant messaging user name, if you wish, and you can also upload a photo of yourself. You can also specify whether you want comments to appear by most votes or by date, whether you want links to articles to open in a new window, and whether you want to see profanity when you view Digg.com.
Step4
Click on 'Edit' to make any changes or additions to your profile. Now is your chance to let other Digg.com users know who they are dealing with.

Make your additions. Once you have included all of the information on your profile, click 'Save Changes.'
Step6
Enable the blogging feature. While in the 'Profile' section of Digg.com, you will have the opportunity to set up your profile to allow you to post content from Digg.com directly to your blog. Simply find the 'Blog Settings' heading and click 'Edit.' Make your selections, click 'Save Changes' and you're good to go.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember that your profile on Digg.com is public. Any Digg.com user can view the personal information you include in your profile, just as you can view theirs. To protect your privacy, leave out any information you do not wish the public to know.
