Blogging is quickly becoming the way most people under the age of 25 get their news. Digg.com allows users to keep their blogs updated with fresh content, by posting stories from the site.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Personal or professional blog

Enable the Blogging Feature on Your Digg.com Account

Step1
Log in to Digg.com.
Step2
Go to the 'Profile' area of the Web site and click the 'Edit' button under 'Blog Settings.'
Step3
Click the 'Change Blog Settings' button.
Step4
Choose your type of blog from the drop-down menu.
Step5
Select the blog you want to use with Digg.com. If you only have one blog, then that will be the blog you use.

Post a Digg.com Story to Your Blog

Step1
Find something on Digg.com that interests you or that you think your blog readers will enjoy.
Step2
Click on the 'Blog This' link below the story description.
Step3
Edit the post title and blog text. This part is optional. Digg.com will choose a title and text for you. However, you can customize these to anything you like prior to submitting the story to your blog.
Step4
Click the 'Blog It' button to submit the story to your blog.
Step5
Wait for confirmation. If the story was successfully posted to your blog, Digg.com will let you know on the very next page you see.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you host your blog on the new version of Blogger.com, you will need to log in to your Google account before Digg.com can enable the blogging feature. Digg.com will prompt you to log in to Google at the appropriate time..
  • Be aware of the blog types currently supported by Digg.com. You may post something on Digg.com if you use Blogger, Typepad, Word Press, Moveable Type or Live Journal.
