How to Join Digg.com

Digg.com blasted onto the Internet seemingly from out nowhere and has quickly become one of the hottest Web sites around. This site is cmposed entirely of content posted by members, meaning you can find everything from news stories to photos and podcasts.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access

Join Digg.com

Step1
Click on the 'Join Digg' link on Digg.com's main page (see the Resources section below).
Step2
Choose a user name. This name must be at least four characters long. You can check for the availability of your user name during the registration process.
Step3
Choose a password. Passwords must be a minimum of six characters long.
Step4
Provide your email address and birth date. Digg.com needs this information to send you a confirmation email and to make sure you are of legal age to use the site.
Step5
Remember to check the box indicating that you agree to Digg.com's terms and conditions.
Step6
Check your email for a confirmation message from Digg.com. This message will have a link you must click on in order to join. After you click the link, your registration will be complete. At this point, you will be given the opportunity to invite your friends to join Digg.com.

Create Your Digg.com Profile

Step1
Provide your name, gender, zip code and country in which you currently reside. Digg.com will take you to the screen where you can do this immediately after you complete your registration. Of course, if you prefer more anonymity, a profile is not required.
Step2
Click on 'Save' and you're all set to use Digg.com!
Step3
Visit the FAQ page for additional assistance about the services offered by Digg.com.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not invite your friends to join Digg.com when you register, you can always do so later.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to register as a member of Digg.com.
  • If you do not want your personal information, such as your name and location, available for other Digg.com users to access, then do not put this information in your profile. Any information in your profile becomes public information on Digg.com.
