Things You'll Need:
- Computer with Internet connection
-
Step 1
Log on to the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below). You can choose to sign in or set up an account, but this is not required.
-
Step 2
Browse through the various selections of videos and click on one that you would like to view.
-
Step 3
Click the 'Play' button if the video is not already playing.
-
Step 4
Roll over the icon on the video player that shows a small gray button on the upper left section of a larger gray rectangle. As you do so, the icon will animate to show the smaller gray shape taking over the rest of the icon.
-
Step 5
Click this button. Your video should now appear in full-screen mode.
-
Step 6
Minimize and maximize the size of the pop-up window as you normally would for any browser window. You can use the 'Minimize' and 'Maximize' and 'Close' icons to do so. The 'Close' icon is normally an 'X.'
-
Step 1
Use the 'Play' button to stop and start the video.
-
Step 2
Click and drag the progress bar to access a specific portion of the video. The progress bar contains a circle that moves as the video plays.
-
Step 3
Utilize the volume bar to increase and decrease the sound. You can also click on the small icon of a speaker with sound waves next to it to turn the volume all the way up or down as you watch the video.
-
Step 4
Click and drag the pop-up window to change its location and size on your screen.
