YouTube has one of the largest compilations of video content on the Internet, and membership is absolutely free. Users can add movies at will, watch hundreds of hours of user-submitted content and utilize a huge list of tools and resources, as described below.

    Find YouTube Tools

  1. Step 1

    Visit the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below).

  2. Step 2

    Log in to YouTube with an existing account by clicking 'Log In.'

  3. Step 3

    Click the 'My Account' text link. Here you'll see a large listing of available tools.

  4. Use YouTube Tools

  5. Step 1

    Find the 'Videos' heading. Here you'll find options for uploading content and viewing Favorites lists and Playlists.

  6. Step 2

    Read the options under 'Inbox.' Site messaging, friend invites, received videos and video comments are all archived here.

  7. Step 3

    Subscribe to video categories or to a specific content creator's videos under the 'Subscriptions & Subscribers' heading.

  8. Step 4

    Join groups and manage members of your own groups under the 'Groups' category.

  9. Step 5

    Manage contacts with friends, family and other connections under the 'Friends & Contacts' heading.

  10. Step 6

    Create your own individual channels and manage the design and memberships under 'Channel Settings.'

  11. Step 7

    Change account details like passwords, email options, personal information and profiles under the 'Account Settings' heading.
