Log on to the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below).

Find the 'Contests' heading.

Scroll through the list of contests.

Click on an individual contest that looks appealing, or hit 'See More Contests' for the full available listings.

Scroll down to the 'About This Contest' heading. Here, you'll find contest details such as duration, prizes and the detailed contest theme. Read the contest rules.

Click on submitted videos to see what others have already done. If a contest is open for voting, you can vote on any of the posted videos.

Upload your own videos to the contest. Click the 'Upload Videos' text link to get started.
