YouTube, a massive video content site, has become one of the most popular destinations on the Internet. This site offers more than just passive video entertainment, though--there are also many sponsored contests. Here's how to participate, hether you want to submit your own content or simply vote.

Find YouTube Contests

1. Log on to the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below).

2. Click the 'Community' tab.

3. Find the 'Contests' heading.

4. Scroll through the list of contests.

Participate in YouTube Contests

5. Click on an individual contest that looks appealing, or hit 'See More Contests' for the full available listings.

6. Scroll down to the 'About This Contest' heading. Here, you'll find contest details such as duration, prizes and the detailed contest theme. Read the contest rules.

7. Click on submitted videos to see what others have already done. If a contest is open for voting, you can vote on any of the posted videos.

8. Upload your own videos to the contest. Click the 'Upload Videos' text link to get started.

• Call on other YouTube users for help if you want tips and tricks for participating in contests. Signing up for an account will allow you to interact with other users.
