How to Create a Yahoo! Hotjobs Account

Yahoo! HotJobs is a great way to contact recruiters and potential employers and land the job you want. In order to create or store your resume online, however, you must first create a Yahoo! HotJobs account.

Things You'll Need:

• Computer with Internet access

Create a Yahoo! HotJobs Account for the First Time

1. Open the Yahoo! home page (see the Resources section below).

2. Click on the 'Sign Up' link. (Note that this is for users who do not already have a Yahoo ID.)

3. Fill out your registration information. Note that all fields marked with a red asterisk indicate required information.

4. Click the 'I Accept' button to indicate you have read and agree to Yahoo!'s Terms of Service.

5. Access your Yahoo! HotJobs account by clicking on the 'HotJobs' link on the Yahoo! home page.

Access Your Yahoo HotJobs Account With Existing Yahoo ID

6. Visit the Yahoo! index page.

7. Click on the 'Sign In' link.

8. Enter your Yahoo ID (user name) and password and click the 'Sign In' button.

9. Click on the 'HotJobs' link.

10. Use your Yahoo! HotJobs account to search for jobs, view or edit stored resumes, or use the 'Career Tools' that are included with your account.

Merge Old Yahoo! HotJobs Accounts with a Yahoo! ID

11. Open the Yahoo! index page. (Note that this step only applies to old Yahoo! Job Accounts not yet converted to a new Yahoo! ID.)

12. Click on the 'HotJobs' link.

13. Click on the 'Sign In' link. If you receive a message that your account needs to be converted, proceed to the next step. If not, your accounts are already merged and you don't need to do anything further.

14. Click on the 'Convert Your Account' link.

15. Enter your old HotJobs user name and password and click the 'Continue' button to merge your accounts.
