Log in to your Yahoo account by clicking the 'Sign In' link on the home page (see the Resources section below).

Click on the pencil icon to bring up the 'Personal Options' menu on the Yahoo! toolbar.

Click on the 'Change Toolbar Layout' option.

Choose each button in the order you wish them to appear on your toolbar.

Save your button settings by clicking 'Finish.'

Create a new browser tab to launch a new Web site by clicking the 'Add Tab' button.

Set the destination for the new tab. The default destination is the Yahoo! search page. You can change this by navigating to a site from the search page, clicking on a destination from your Internet Explorer bookmarks or typing in a Web address manually in the Address Bar.

Click the pencil icon from the Settings menu.

Select 'Toolbar Options.'

Check or uncheck options as you wish at this point. For instance, you can choose to automatically clear your recent search history or disable the pop-up blocker.

Direct your mouse cursor to the 'grab line' of the address bar. You'ill know you've found it when your cursor changes from a single pointing arrow to a double-headed arrow.

Resize the search box by holding the mouse button down and dragging the cursor left or right until you're satisfied with the new size of the search box.
