How to Download Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista
The new beta version of Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista users won't be available until the second quarter of 2007, but Vista users can still enjoy all the benefits of Yahoo! Messenger by downloading the latest version.

Visit the Yahoo! Messenger home page (see the Resources section below).

Log in to the system and return to the home page.

Read the page's analysis of your operating system. Yahoo! automatically detects which operating system you have installed and whether or not you currently are running Messenger.

Click the 'Download For
' button if you require a new version of Messenger. Once the software is fully downloaded, you will be instructed as to how to launch the program, sign in and start chatting. Downloading Yahoo Messenger will take about 16 minutes on a 56k modem and around 25 seconds on a high-speed connection. -

Tips & Warnings
If you have multiple family members using one version of Yahoo! Messenger, set up a different Messenger ID for each individual. Click the 'Get A Yahoo! ID' button once the software is downloaded to set up your accounts.
You can submit your email address to Yahoo to be notified when Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista software will be available for download. Read the Yahoo! Privacy Policy for information on how your email address will be used once you provide it.
Windows Vista users should use the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. If you already have a version installed and need to know if it's the latest, click the 'Help' link in Yahoo! Messenger. Then click the 'About' link. A window will appear that tells you what version of the program you are using. Check your version number against the version listed on the Yahoo! Messenger home page.
