In the old days, buying a car meant slogging from dealership to dealership, haggling, calling for quotes and advice, and going through all kinds of stress. Now, Web sites like Yahoo! Autos make car buying much easier. Yahoo! Autos not only lets you research new or used cars, but also allows you to purchase a car online by facilitating contact between buyers and sellers.

Buy a New Car on Yahoo Autos

1. Load the Yahoo! Autos home page and click 'New Cars' to begin the process of buying a new car (see the Resources section below).

2. Select the make of car you wish to purchase by clicking on the provided links.

3. Scroll the listings to find a car that matches the year and model of the car you want to buy.

4. Click on the picture of the car you want to buy or use the text link. This should bring you to a page with more details on that car.

5. Choose a particular listing on the car's page to bring up a more detailed page on a particular trim.

6. Scroll the page to find the 'Get Price Quotes' box. Enter your zip code in the space provided and click the 'Get Quotes' button. Complete the form that appears on the following page.

7. Submit your request for a quote after clicking the 'Continue to Final Step' button. Local dealers will contact you with quotes. You can complete the process of buying a car from the dealer whose quote you chose.

Buy a Used Car on Yahoo! Auto

8. Reload the Yahoo! Autos home page and click on the 'Used Cars' link.

9. Use the pull-down menus to select the make and model of the type of car you want to buy. Enter your zip code in the box provided. Then click 'Search.'

10. Scroll through the page to find listings for cars you might like to purchase. The listings will give you some basic information, such as price, mileage and type of seller. Click the image of the car you want or use the text link.

11. Review the information provided about the car. You may click on additional links within the page for information on the car's value or to order a vehicle history report.

12. Contact the seller by email by using the 'Reply To This Ad' box. Fill in the form, and click 'Reply To Ad.' If a phone number is provided, you may also contact the seller by phone. You can then buy the car directly from the seller.

on 11/3/2008 how can i get help this guy told me to send the money to a representive of yahoo autos and i did sent the money and now i dont get any reponse not from the yahoo representative or the seller
