There are many ways to join the action at Yahoo! Auctions, from watching currently active items to keeping track of items you've bought and sold. Yahoo! Auction's 'My Auctions' section lets you monitor all your activities in one place.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yahoo! Auctions account
  • Internet connection
  • Computer

    Monitor Watchlist Items

  1. Step 1

Call up the Yahoo! Auctions home page (see the Resources section below).

  2. Step 2

Browse through the items for sale. When you find an auction you're not ready to bid on but would like to keep watching, click the 'Add to Watchlist' link on the auction item's page.

  3. Step 3

Click 'My Auctions' at any time to view the status of your watched auctions under the Watchlist heading.

  4. Monitor Items You Are Selling

  5. Step 1

List items you have for sale via the 'Sell Stuff' link.

  6. Step 2

Click 'My Auctions' once you complete the seller's submission form.

  7. Step 3

Find the 'Selling' heading. Here you can monitor all the items you have up for bids. Available information includes the current price, highest current bidder and auction end time/date.

  8. Step 4

Locate the 'Sold' heading. These listings include auctions that have ended successfully. The final price is included with the listing.

  9. Step 5

Look at the 'Not Sold' heading. Here you will find auction listings that did not receive bids.

  10. Monitor Items You Are Bidding On

  11. Step 1

Place a bid on an item being auctioned.

  12. Step 2

    Click the 'My Auctions' link.

  13. Step 3

Find the 'Bidding' heading. Here you will find the auctions you have bid on and the current status of these auctions.

  14. Step 4

See the 'Won' section. Here you will find listings for auctions you have won. If you still need to pay for the item, you'll see the price and status of the auction.

  15. Step 5

Review the information in the 'Lost' section. Lost items are items you bid on but did not win.
