Wikipedia is a Web-based resource written by volunteers. Its content is continually added by individuals who consider themselves to be experts on specific topics. Here's how to print out a Wikipedia article.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer paper
  • Computer with Internet access
  • Printer

Begin Your Search

Step1
Call up the Wikipedia main page (see the Resources section below).
Step2
Enter the subject in the 'Search' box. Pay close attention to the spelling and avoid articles (i.e., 'a' and 'the').
Step3
Click on the 'Go' button (or hit the Enter key on the keyboard) to see the closest related articles. For a wider range of information and article choices, click on the 'Search' button.
Step4
Refine your search using the brief descriptions returned in the search results if multiple topics appear. Wikipedia lists the most likely choices when a search term is not precise or has multiple meanings.

Print a Wikipedia Article

Step1
Load your printer with a sufficient amount of paper to print excessively long articles.
Step2
Choose 'Printable Version' from the toolbox on the article you want to print..
Step3
Read through the entire article to determine if it contains the information you want to print. Many articles are quite lengthy and may take up several pages.
Step4
Click 'Page Setup' if your browser allows you to set the margins, paper size and paper orientation.
Step5
Click the 'Print' icon on your browser tool bar.
