How to Make a MySpace Layout
MySpace is a popular social networking site that allows users to create custom layouts and link up with friends around the world. Perhaps the most appealing thing about MySpace is the ability to easily manipulate your profile with little knowledge of HTML or other programming language. Follow these steps to find out how you can personalize the layout your MySpace page.

Register for MySpace

Visit the MySpace home page and click on "Sign Up!" to register (see Resources below).

Fill out the simple form, providing your name, email and date of birth. You will be asked to verify your email address. Use one you have access to.

Upload a photo for your account. You can skip this step if you don't have a photo ready to add.

Complete registration by inviting your friends or skipping this step. Once registration is complete you will have access to your MySpace home page, which allows you to make your layout more personal.

Verify your email address. A link will be sent to the address you provided, which you must click on to finalize your registration.

Log in to your new MySpace account to start creating you layout.

Click "Edit Profile" from your home page to add information about you. HTML can also be added to the "About Me" section to customize your layout. If you don't know enough about programming, use a code generator like Thomas' MySpace Editor (see Resources below).

Disable "clickable" links in your profile sections by entering "
." The books, television, music and movies section automatically turn each keyword into a link to search MySpace profiles. If you want to add other information, place a " " in the section, otherwise separate each title with a comma. -

Add videos. If you have videos to upload, then click "Add/Change Videos" to add your own. Otherwise, search MySpace's video area for one you want to share on your page. Simply click "Add to Profile" to automatically embed MySoace videos into yours.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a password that's hard to decipher. A good system is to have at least on capital letter, one punctuation mark and one number.
