    Decorate Your Profile With Images

  1. Step 1

Sign in to your MySpace account (see Resources below). This takes you to a homepage that offers many links for you to decorate your profile.

  2. Step 2

Click on "Edit Profile" to start adding to your profile. MySpace offers several sections, including Music, Television and Books. You can decorate any of the sections. Place photos of your favorite bands in the music section or add entirely different content.

  3. Step 3

Place code with links to images into the section using basic HTML "img" tags. Any photos you add to your page must be hosted on another Web site. Photobucket is a popular photo hosting site (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

Add some glitter. Sparkle and glitter animated "GIF" files feature words and images with some extra flair. There are many sites that offer glitter images to use in MySpace profiles, including some that allow you to create custom type.

  5. Add Music and Videos to Your Profile

  6. Step 1

Add music to your profile. When you come across a band's profile with a song you like, simply click 'Add' next to the song you want. While you can embed "WAV" files into your profile, using non-MySpace songs can cause some browsers to crash.

  7. Step 2

Find a video in the MySpace Video section and add it to your profile. Simply click the "Add to Profile" link near the video. You can also upload your own videos to MySpace by uploading photos with the "Add/Change Videos" link on your MySpace homepage.

  8. Step 3

Share a YouTube video (see Resources below). Videos from YouTube can be added to your profile by pasting the "Embed" code into any section. The videos will not start until selected by visitors to your page.

Tips & Warnings
  • The "MySpace Help Screen" offers answers to many frequently asked questions (see Resources below).
  • When adding third-party images and videos to profiles, double-check the link off your page. While the graphic may be cool, it may come with a link to a spyware site. MySpace tries to filter our malicious code, but some does get by occasionally.
