How to Add Codes to MySpace

When you're ready to show the world an exciting, newly-customized MySpace page, all you have to do is cut and paste a code into your profile. There are MySpace codes designed to do everything from changing the background color of your page to playing your favorite music video. Follow these steps to learn how to add code to your MySpace page

Obtain Codes From the MySpace Forums

1. Visit the forums on the MySpace Web site to find free MySpace codes (see Resources below).

2. Click on the "MySpace forum" link. This will take you to a forum for topics related to using MySpace, as well as general subject matter.

3. Click on the "Customizing" link.

4. Browse through the topics listed to find posts containing the MySpace codes you want to grab. Click the corresponding link to the post you wish to view.

5. Use your mouse to highlight the MySpace code you want to copy. Right click it and select "Copy" from the drop-down box.

Get MySpace Codes on the Web

6. Visit Google to search for MySpace codes. Type "MySpace codes" in the search box and click "Google Search."

7. Browse the search results to find Web sites offering free MySpace codes. Choose a site that has codes of interest to you and click its link.

8. Choose a MySpace code from those available and use your mouse to highlight it. Click on the highlighted code using your right mouse button.

9. Click on "Copy" to select it from the drop-down box.

10. Go to the MySpace Web site (see Resources below). Type your username and password into the form fields and click "Login."

11. Find the "Edit Profile" link and use your mouse to click on it.

12. Use your mouse to right click in the section in which you want to add your MySpace code. Choose "Paste" from the drop-down menu by clicking on it.

13. Locate the "Save All Changes" button and click it.

14. Place your cursor on the "View My Profile" link and click it. Check to be sure your new code is working as expected.

• If you look for codes in the MySpace forums, you may have to sift through posts a bit to find what you need.
• Some of the posts in the MySpace forums require you to go to another page or Web site to obtain codes. Exercise caution when visiting new sites unrelated to MySpace.
