How to Add Photos to MSN Spaces

Sharing photos is a special part of the online experience. Being able to display your favorite pictures for family and friends to view at their leisure on your Web site or blog adds a personal touch that's hard to achieve any other way. Your photos are a part of you. They tell the world who you are and what you stand for. Now, you can add your treasured photographs to your MSN Spaces page. It is easy and you can start uploading photos right away. Follow these steps to find out how.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet connection
• Computer
• MSN Spaces account

Begin Uploading Photos to Your MSN Spaces Page

1. Log in at MSN Spaces (see Resources below).
2. Click on "Photos."
3. Click on "Add an Album," then click "Add Photos."
4. Choose a folder from your computer's hard drive where you have stored pictures in the window that will pop up. Then, look at those pictures to decide which ones you want to add to your MSN Spaces page.
5. Click your chosen photo, then hit the "Upload Now" tab.
6. Add a caption to your photo. Click on the number just below the photo to reveal a text box. Enter your caption in the text box. When you are done, click on any part of the area outside the box.
7. Put a title on your album. Type your album title in the provided box. Your selected photo or photos will be going in this album. You can create as many albums as you like.
8. Click on "Save and Close." You have now added photos to your MSN Spaces page. Enjoy them!

Tips & Warnings

• Know that MSN Spaces is now known as Windows Live Spaces.
• To add photos to MSN Spaces for the first time, you will need to download and install MSN's picture viewer. MSN Spaces will prompt you to make this download when you click on "Add Photos." The picture viewer downloads quickly. Then, MSN takes you right back to the correct spot to continue adding your photos immediately after the download is complete.
• You MSN Spaces pages tells the world about you in your own unique way. However, you may not want the entire world to have this information. Luckily, you can opt to make your MSN Spaces page private and accessible only to the people you specify. This is a smart move if you are concerned about protecting your privacy online.
