How to Edit a Posting On Craigslist
When you are trying to sell something online at Craigslist, you may need to make changes to the original posting where you described what you are selling. There are two different ways to do this. Here's how to edit a posting on Craigslist.

Visit the Craigslist home page (view the link in Resources below).

Click the "My Account" link.

Log in to your account using your email address or user name and your password. Note: Cookies must be enabled on your browser. Learn how to do this on the Craigslist help pages (view the link in Resources below).

Find the title of the posting you want to edit and click it.

Select "Edit This Posting" and make the necessary changes. Once submitted, your changes will take effect immediately.

Refresh or reload your Web browser to verify that your changes have been made successfully.
Use Email to Edit a Post

Log in to the email account that you use to receive Craigslist email confirmations.

Locate the email you were sent by Craigslist when you originally posted your ad.

Click the embedded Web link. Doing so will open your posting so that you can edit it.

Select "Edit This Posting" and make the necessary changes. Once submitted, your changes will take effect immediately.

Refresh or reload your Web browser to verify that your changes have been made successfully.

Tips & Warnings
If you are looking to save time, stay logged in to your account when adding, editing or deleting posts on Craigslist. It is much easier to edit a posting if you created it while you were logged in.
If you have a browser that allows you to remember user names and passwords, activate this feature so that you don't have to log in to Craigslist each time you use it.
You must enable cookies in your Web browser to log in successfully. To do this, go to your browser's preferences and choose to enable cookies all the time. In Internet Explorer, you do this by clicking "Tools" in the top menu and selecting "Options > Privacy > Cookies" and checking the box for "Allow sites to set Cookies."
Do not provide personal information in a posting unless it's OK that millions of people will have access to your phone number or other contact information.
