Step 1
Establish a budget with your fiancé to get a ballpark figure on how much money you are able to spend on the dress, veil, and headpiece. This figure is an estimate, and doesn’t need to be a firm commitment, but with the widely varying prices of these things, you want to have a range of price in mind.
-
Step 2
Choose your bridesmaids or contact the bridesmaids if you have already chosen them. You will want to enlist their help with shopping, opinions and ideas.
-
Step 3
Contact your local bridal shop, or the place you purchased the dress or other wedding accessories. Tell the employee of the store what you are looking for and she will provide you with options.
-
Step 4
Learn as much as you can about the veil and headpiece based on the information the employee gave you. Take that information, and search online for an Internet-based vendor. Compare those prices and the quality of the products.
-
Step 5
Look for a bridal fair in the area and take a bridesmaid or two with you. Again, compare the prices and quality from the local wedding vendors and online stores. This will help you come up with a general idea on what options will cost.
-
Step 6
Go over all the options one more time, and select the one that best represents you and your wedding, and is priced at a level you can afford. Save copies of receipts in case something goes wrong.
