Your wedding day should be one of the most important days of your life, and no detail should be overlooked, especially the menu. Read on to learn how to select a menu for your wedding reception.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Wedding planner
  • Computer with Internet

Step1
Decide on a budget. Once you have figured out your limit, it will be easier to plan out what you are capable of doing with the menu.
Step2
Decide how you want to serve the meal. Buffet-style usually works better for big wedding receptions.
Step3
Consider how many courses you would like to have during the reception. Do you want appetizers? Do you want entrées or desert?
Step4
Plan whether the food will be served outside or indoors. If outside, your possibilities could then include sandwich platters or barbecue.
Step5
Check over all of the drinks and foods and make sure you have catered to all of your guests. Request an RSVP as soon as you can to be sure exactly how much food you need.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you are aware of all of your guests allergies.
  • Make sure you are also aware if anyone is a vegetarian. If they are, make sure they can enjoy a good meal.
  • Make sure you pay attention to the amount of people attending so you know exactly how much food to serve.
