Things You'll Need:
- Color swatches
- Flower catalog
-
Step 1
Assemble color swatches that match the colors of your wedding. Also obtain a swatch of material that matches the suits the groomsmen will be wearing during the ceremony.
-
Step 2
Consult a flower catalog that has full-color pictures of a wide variety of blooms. Compare the pictures to the color and material swatches. Mark those flowers that are good color matches.
-
Step 3
Note what time of the year the selected flowers are in bloom. Flowers are less expensive during the times of year that they naturally are in bloom.
-
Step 4
Narrow down the range of choices to those flowers that are in bloom around the time of your wedding.
-
Step 5
Use the theme of your wedding to make your second cut. How does this work? Here is an example: If your theme is elegant, a rose might make a nice choice, but a daisy wouldn't. Only two or three of the flowers you have chosen so far should make this second cut.
-
Step 6
Choose the flower that the groomsmen will wear during your wedding. This is the hardest decision because you have to listen to what your heart is telling you.
