Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Establish a budget for the presents before the rehearsal dinner.
Step2
Decide on a theme. Should the presents convey a humorous, serious, practical or romantic tone?
Step3
Decide if you will open the gifts and read the cards at the rehearsal dinner or later in the evening when you are not together.
Step4
Decide when you will exchange gifts. If you are planning a series of toasts, the gift exchange could come at the end of that time.
Step5
Plan a speech. You do not have to plan a lengthy speech, but plan to speak long enough to convey your message without rushing.
Step6
Wrap your gift according to the theme discussed in step two.
Step7
Make or purchase a card to accompany your gift. Write a sweet note. If you decide to open the gifts and read the card during rehearsal dinner, make sure the wording is appropriate.
Step8
Give the gifts to a trusted, responsible member of the wedding party to bring to the rehearsal dinner. You will have so much to do and remember that one less thing will lighten your load.
