Everyone wants to look their best for their wedding–—the family and friends, the groomsmen and bridal party, the bride and even the groom. And it tends to be the case that, if you want to look your best, you'll try to drop a few pounds. Here are some tips for grooming the groom before the wedding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Change your diet. The easiest thing that you can do to drop a few pounds to get ready for an event is to eat a bit less.

  2. Step 2

Worried that you won't feel full? Change the way that you eat, not just how much. Get rid of white flour and refined sugar. Eat more whole grains, more protein and more vegetables.

  3. Step 3

Eat smaller meals more often. Try eating 200-300 calorie meals every 3 hours to keep your metabolism in high gear.

  4. Step 4

Hit the gym. By working out and building more muscle, you'll lose the fat and trim down quickly.

  5. Step 5

Make time for cardio; exercise isn't just about building muscle, it's also about getting out and burning calories: ride a bike, swim or go for a run.

Tips & Warnings
  • Improving your posture can help you to look like you've dropped a few pounds, even if you haven't.
  • Choosing a flattering tuxedo will help the groom to look his best.
  • Avoid crash dieting and skipping meals; both can cause more harm than good.
