Things You'll Need:
- Sunscreen lotion, SPF 15 or higher
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Lip balm, SPF 15 or higher
-
Step 1
SLATHER YOURSELF IN SUNSCREEN. The desert sun is intense, and you'll be in it a long time, so use SPF 15 or higher. Be thorough, cover all of your exposed skin. It's better to do this at least a half hour before you go out into the sun, because it takes a while to soak in and be effective. While you're sitting in traffic to get into the parking lots would be an ideal time to apply sunscreen.
-
Step 2
REAPPLY. Be sure and have some sunscreen with you, so you can reapply later in the afternoon, or if you decide to take off your shirt. Or pants. If you don't want to carry around a big bottle of lotion, hit up the travel toiletries section at Target beforehand, and pick up a little mini-tube of sunscreen for $0.99, might be the best investment you make all weekend. Get some lip balm with sunscreen to protect your lips too.
-
Step 3
WEAR A HAT AND SHADES. Not only will they make you look super cool and disguise you from your rabid fans, but they'll help shield you from the sun as well.
-
Step 4
FIND SOME SHADE. Check out the acts in the tents during the day. You'll hear some great music, and as a bonus you'll avoid that harsh sunlight.
