How to Create a Home Movie to Propose

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Choose the photos and text that you plan to use in the home movie that you create to propose.
2. Choose the software or Internet program that you'll use to create your home movie to propose.
3. Import the photos that you'll be using to the program.
4. Put the images or video clips in order. Add text and special effects.
5. Preview the movie that you've made. Make the changes that you want to make.
6. Once your movie is what you want it to be, burn it to DVD or upload it to a Web site and make sure that she sees it.

Tips & Warnings

• With Web sites like One True Media, designing a home video is free and simple (see Resources, below).
• If you want to be able to watch the home movie at home, be sure that you get the movie burned to a DVD.
• Your first attempt might not go as smoothly as you want it to. If it doesn't, don't get discouraged, just make edits or start again.
