Plan a Fall Wedding

Fall is a beautiful time of year for a wedding. The air is crisp, the light is charming and the colors of nature are unbeatable. Use these steps for planning a fall wedding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide which colors you will use in your wedding. Burnt orange and brown make a nice combination.

  2. Step 2

Use these colors on your invitation. You may want to make your own invitations using tissue paper over printed card stock in your chosen colors for a nice effect.

  3. Step 3

Use autumnal items such as pumpkins and gourds in your decor. If you are having a formal wedding, do not carve the pumpkins. However, if your wedding is casual, you can carve pumpkins and even use them as centerpieces at the reception.

  4. Step 4

Be sure that if you are marrying outside and using a runner that leaves do not fall on the runner. Leaves can be a slipping hazard.

  5. Step 5

Consider using fondant icing on the wedding cake and then fondant leaves in your colors as decorations on the cake. Or, a ribbon in your colors wrapped around the layers of the cake is very pretty and elegant.

  6. Step 6

Use lots of candles if they are permitted to play off the natural light of autumn.
