Christmas is a beautiful time of year to be married. The decorations and colors are beautiful and there is a special feeling that goes with the season. Follow these directions for planning a Christmas themed wedding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose wedding attire for the bridesmaids and groomsmen that match the colors and fabrics of the season. For example, pine green velvet makes a good fabric for the women. A red and green plaid tie is nice for the men.

  2. Step 2

Use floral arrangements such as poinsettias to highlight the foliage of the season.

  3. Step 3

Buy small, white lights to decorate the ceremony area.

  4. Step 4

Consider using a location that is already decorated for Christmas in order to save a lot of time and money.

  5. Step 5

For invitations, use blank Christmas cards that can be used in your computer's printer.

  6. Step 6

For small gifts for the guests, paint the wedding couple's name and wedding date on an ornament and tie a ribbon on the hanger.

  7. Step 7

Consider serving a traditional Christmas dinner at the reception.

  8. Step 8

Have the guests ring bells rather than throwing rice as you are exiting.

  9. Step 9

Consider using a horse drawn carriage rather than a limo when leaving the reception.
