Making sure your hair looks its best for your wedding should be top priority. You will have pictures of this day forever, so be sure to take the time to groom your hair before the wedding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be sure that the wedding falls midway through your haircut cycle. If you get your haircut right before the wedding, it will probably be shorter than you would like it.

  2. Step 2

Generally, if you are going to style your hair, you will not want it to be freshly washed. Instead, you want to avoid washing your hair at least one day before the wedding so that the style will look its best.

  3. Step 3

If you are going to do anything different with your hair than you normally do, such as a new cut or color, be sure to thoroughly test it out at least three months prior to any pre-wedding pictures. If the great new hair idea ends up being a disaster, your hair will have an opportunity to recover.

  4. Step 4

If you are unsure how you would like your hair styled, make an appointment with a reputable stylist months before the wedding or pictures and talk about what might be best for you.

  5. Step 5

If you do not feel comfortable styling your own hair, ask someone who is knowledgeable about hair to assist you.

  6. Step 6

If you do not know anyone who would be able to or available to help, use a professional for pictures as well as on the wedding day.
