Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
If you or your intended is a member of a religious congregation, speak to your officiant about your desire to have an interfaith wedding.
Step2
Ask the officiant if he or she is comfortable performing an interfaith wedding ceremony.
Step3
If the officiant is comfortable with this type of ceremony, ask the officiant whom he or she recommends from the other faith.
Step4
If the officiant does not know anyone from the other faith, ask your partner to speak to the officiant from his or her congregation or someone who is affiliated with that faith.
Step5
Ask the officiant from your partner's faith is he or she is comfortable performing an interfaith wedding ceremony.
Step6
If neither of you are members on a religious congregation or either officiant is unwilling to perform an interfaith ceremony, you will need to do some research. Asking people who are members of each faith for recommendations is a great place to start.
Step7
In addition, you can attend wedding festivals and find officiants there who may be willing to perform an interfaith ceremony.
Step8
Be sure to consult a wedding consultant, if you are able to afford one. Wedding consultants generally have lists of people with whom they have worked in the past that would be amenable to performing an interfaith ceremony.
